Often, youth feel passionately about injustices taking place the world over, but do not feel they can make a difference.
Well, you can. In the last century, the world has seen many injustices, including Armenia; the Holocaust; Cambodia; Bosnia; and Rwanda. Each time, the world said, "Never again" - and yet we have remained silent time and time again!
Today, the genocide in Darfur continues unabated, with over a million people at risk of starvation and death. But you CAN do something about today's latest genocide in Darfur. Google one of the many web sites involved in rallying support for ending the genocide, and get involved in whatever way you feel will make a difference, including lobbying politicians to stop the silence. Then submit your information to this website so that it is easier for others to get involved.
Review the list below to see the full range of genocides in just the last 100 years.
